The third edition of "Acoustic Ecology of European Bats was released in June 2015. It incorporates numerous corrections and updates (text, Excel and sound files) antérieures à sa parution. The book includes 344 pages bound between hard covers ; a band at the top of cover page 1 specifies the edition ; the DVD contains 294 sound files (e. g. 68 heterodyned and 221 in time expansion x 10) and 9 Excel files for identification.

The updates deposited on this page concern the third édition ; they refresh the book content.
The latter is dense and complex ; it explains a method using a step-by-step approach. It is therefore vitally important not to separate the update files, from their context in the main text. This could lead to oversimplifications and misinterpretations in the methodology as well as in species identifications. All the files proposed can be freely downloaded ; but please do not forget to cite the source of the information in your work.
Attention : les mises à jour ont été nombreuses et denses durant l’année 2023, et il devient trop complexe de les inclure dans un fichier pour cette troisième édition ; de plus, pour le lecteur, le jeu des comparaisons entre son édition papier et les innombrables modifications dans les différents fichiers PDF, rendent l’exercice confus et décourageant. Pour ces raisons, je suis au regret de ne plus pouvoir amender cette 3e édition des mises à jour depuis l’été 2023. Veuillez m’en excuser. Les possesseurs de la 3e édition peuvent se reporter aux mises à jour de la 4e édition pour compléter les fichiers ci-dessous.
